What is the 70 Project?

|
The 70 Project is a very special, spiritual training program conducted by the Byakko Shinko Kai to support people from all over the world who strongly wish to be of help in safeguarding and anchoring a divine consciousness on earth and assist in the critical times ahead. To join the 70 Project, you do not need to be a member of Byakko Shinko Kai, but you do need to have a basic understanding of the philosophy of its founder, Masahisa Goi (1916-1980), since the training is based on these teachings.
Reading "God and Man", the first and most fundamental of his many books, is a prerequisite for applying to the Project. As of 2003, a person interested must have completed the Shinjin Program in order to apply. (See Shinjin Program in this site for information). Cultural, spiritual, religious or educational backgrounds have no bearing when applying to the Project, as long as you agree with its objectives. The Project is universal in nature and affords us a very unique chance to develop a more harmonious and peaceful mind, body and soul.

The training curriculum includes,
for example:

|
1- The prayer for world peace (the whole training is based on the prayer for world peace), the practice of the Divinity IN (Mudra), gratitude to nature and the environment, and other spiritual practices.
2- A very important physical training, including the climbing to the top of Mt. Fuji in the spirit of the world peace prayer.
Most of the training can be achieved at home, however the final part must be done at the Fuji Sanctuary. Further information and application form will be sent upon request, as well as a copy of "God and Man" by Masahisa Goi.
Once you have thoroughly assimilated the information and reached an understanding of the Project's objectives, if you feel that you want to undertake the training- with a sense of happiness and commitment- you can send your completed application to the international department for review and approval.

After completing the training, (mind you it's-not easy!), you will not be pressured to take on any particular duties, but the Project staff will be ready to consult with you if you'd like to talk over your own plans or ideas.

Background and updates on the Project

|
Although a similar training was conducted by Byakko in the very early days of the founder's Masahisa Goi, the 70 Project is aimed at people living outside of Japan.
The Project was started in 1993, and had to be completed within 7 years. For the first few years, basic Japanese speaking skills were also a requisite, as well the person who applied had to make the commitment to spend the entire training period in Japan.
By 1996, the Project was made more flexible and required that only the last part of the training (about 20%) be done in Japan. In July 2000, seventy people from more than 30 countries successfully accomplished the training and graduated as Nana Maru (meaning 70 in Japanese).
Due to the Project's success and an increase in inquiries about it, it was decided to keep the training available for a while longer. Today, 131 people from 43 countries have completed the Project
The Project is before anything else aimed at raising one's physical frequencies to a higher level, allowing one self, through the deep practice of the prayer for world peace and the Divinity IN especially, to reach a more "silent", paeceful, 'Ku' like state of being.
The conditions on our planet having deteriorated that much, many people are starting to realize that a shift in consciousness from materially oriented values to more spiritually rooted ones is the only way to truly restore balance and sustainability on the planet. Awakening to such need, many are seeking a sound, peaceful spiritual practice that is easy to use and easy to integrate in every day life.
Thus, the Nana Maru are becoming increasingly busy each in their own country sharing with lots of new friends, in the spirit of peace, of joy and of harmony, towards the co-creation of a spiritual culture on earth.
The Nana Maru are instrumental in helping the movement of world peace through prayer spread widely. They are very important divine vessels of peace in their respective countries, and we can say that the 70 Project, which is the result of a great cooperative effort from all Byakko members, has been a very successful one.
On average, it takes a year to complete both home training program and the Fuji Sanctuary training. Each person decide the pace at which they want to complete the training.
The conditions for application to the training will be reviewed in the near future. Meanwhile, if you are interested in receiving general information on the 70 Project, please get in touch with us, Fuji Sanctuary, international department.
