The True Meaning of the Prayer for World Peace
Taira Tanaka (Byakko board)

The first line of the Prayer for World Peace in Japanese is "Sekai Jinrui ga heiwa de arimasu youni". The literal translation of this would be “May world humanity be at peace.” It is a beautiful prayer that we aim to continuously recite aloud and in our hearts, every day, every hour and every minute. Let us turn our thoughts to the meaning of “Sekai Jinrui” or “world humanity.” Please note that “world” in “May world humanity be at peace” does not refer to the visible earthly world alone. About this, Masahisa Goi h wrote the following:

Just fixing the physical world alone does not solve the difficulties or problems we are faced with. To be more explicit, we cannot improve the world simply by purifying the physical realm. Unless the astral and spiritual worlds are totally cleansed, the inharmonious state of these worlds will continuously influence the physical world. Whether good or bad, occurrences or thoughts that collect in the astral and the lower realms of the spiritual worlds, will continue to appear in this world. As long as negative accumulations exist in humanity’s subconscious, such thoughts will continue to manifest themselves in the physical world until they are totally cleansed.
However, if we cleanse and purify the negativity before it accumulates and manifests, natural disasters and wars will be prevented before they materialize.

Let us not forget that the Prayer for World Peace is an extremely expansive prayer that includes all realms. The worlds of light-less-ness, hell, astral, spiritual, and divine, that are on and surround Earth, as well as that of other planets, are all included in the Prayer for World Peace. Even now, the inharmonious vibrations on Earth have been seriously influencing many planets in the great universe.
It is for this very reason that numerous cosmic angels and high-ranking spirits and divinities are exerting their positive support and influence on us in their efforts to rescue humanity on earth. Also with regard to “humanity” in “May world humanity be at peace,” Goi Sensei has remarked the following:

The concept of "humanity" that we [people of prayer] have, is different from the definition that the common people have? I regard divinities and spirits to be humanity as well. That is, I include in the definition of the word the spirits, souls and “paku” or “haku” (physical elements of human beings). When we pray for world peace, we must hold the truth; that we are sending our prayers not only to the physical human beings, but ALL humanity, earth, and the cosmos. I describe this because, knowing the true meaning contained in this prayer, brings a great difference to the power of the prayer.
